Instrument specification

The north and south laboratory shop floors of Stevin II are equipped with holes according to an pattern of 600mm x 600 mm and 600mm x 900mm respectively. The holes have diameters of respectively 60 mm en 90 mm.

The south laboratory is mainly designed for testing of steel and wood structures, the north laboratory for concrete structures, although other materials also have been tested in the laboratories. The pattern of holes is used to secure and anchor the different test setups made up from (space)frame building parts.
