An workspace designed for electro-optical and photo thermal characterisation research.

Instrument specification

Among the instruments are:

  • Universal optical set-up with low-vibration table (see image) and standard optical equipment
  • Electro-optical set-up (determination of Pockels coefficient and Kerr effect)
  • Four He-Ne lasers (15-50 mW) and one diode laser (5-50 mW)
  • TREK broadband high voltage amplifier with DC-HV sources
  • Fast (1 GSa/s) digital oscilloscope for mechanical and electrical time domain experiments
  • A Stanford Research DSP lock-in amplifier (type 850)
