Instrument specification

DEMO aims to provide close support to the primary processes at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft): education and research.

  • Scientists, researchers and tutors at the university are DEMO's primary customer group.
  • Research institutes and new technology businesses associated or working in partnership with the TU Delft, as well as other research organisations, may also use the services of DEMO. However, work for the university itself takes priority.
  • When sufficient capacity is available, DEMO also works for non-research organisations on an ad-hoc basis.

A good service requires clear agreements.

  • For complex assignments such as the development of complete test versions, agreements are laid down in the form of written quotes and confirmations.
  • For simple assignments, agreements may be made verbally.
  • For more complicated services such as the configuration of faculty workshops, the maintenance of large or complex test setupsand staff secondment or redeployment, DEMO enters into written contracts with the client.
These set out the details of the type of service agreed with the unit in question. Whilst it is not the intention to produce watertight legal documents, such contracts do describe what is expected of both parties to them.
