Automatic MicroHardness Tester


An instrument which measures microhardness. It applies a smaller force than the standard hardness tester, allowing one to take measurements on smaller or thinner specimens than with a standard instrument.

Measured quantity:

In Knoop and Vickers microhardness testing the hardness value is determined by measuring the size of the resulting unrecovered indentation by using a microscope and established formulas and look-up tables.

Main application:

This instrument is used for evaluating the hardness of the material using micro indentation.
