Study of phase transformations as a function of system Application temperature, e.g, in liquid crystals thermosets.

Instrument specification

Instrument:
TG/DTA-7 Pyris Diamond (PerkinElmer)

Temperature range:
ambient to 1500 degrees C (in an inert Ar gas atmosphere)

Automatic cooling unit:
forced air cooling

Cooling time:
from 1500 degrees C to 10 degrees C in 15 minutes

TGA measurement range:
200 mg (0.2 ug)

DTA measurement range:
approx. +/- 1000 uV (0.06 uV)

Programable rate and atmosphere:
0.01 - 100 degrees C/minute
air, inert gas, vacuum (0.01 torr)

Sample pan volume:
45 uL or 90 uL (optional)

Software for data analysis:
via PerkinElmer dedicated software
